Ums 500 - high-speed boat calculated for usage with the engine up to 70 h.p. Due to unique structural performances is fitted to the strickt conditions of operation. Ums 480 is intended for the wreckers, aquatic(water) militia and other services, fishers, hunters, people leading the active lifestyle.
   In the project the providing of more spacious steering well is taken into account also. The control console divides a steering well into two parts. In a stern the sofa - kit locker is placed. In a fore part there is a locker, in which it is possible to arrange equipment.
   Paying attention to an intact platform stability and small engine output, the contours with deadrise 12 % on a transom are chosen. On the bottom are located: four longitudinal planing steps, bilge spray wedge. The longitudinal planing steps raise a running intact platform stability of a boat, damp an on-board and longitudinal rocking. The on-board spray wedge shrinks time of leaving to gliding. Large height and breadth of a side in a bow ensures good lifting on a wave. The boat can confidently be maintained at a wind 4-5 balls and wave of height 0,5-1,0 m.
   To get from water on a boat it is more convenient from a stern.
   The boat consists of a purely aluminium hull, advanced internal set, glass-fiber section of a deck. Width of the plating from an aluminium alloy, noncorroding in seawater is 3,0 mms.
   On a stern platform it is possible to establish a folding stairway, additional transom for an outboard engine of low power, 5-15 h.p. Under a stern sofa the accumulator, fuel bowl of capacity 70 l, backup fuel bowl on 25 l is located.
In a steering well is placed:

• a pylon of handle, on the right side
• pylon on a port side
• folding desktop, 400x600ьь, or bracing of cylinders for aqualung - on a port side
• stern sofa of a kit locker.

   In a fore of a steering well it is possible to establish fishing seat. On parking in the night or in a bad weather above a steering well an awning can be established.
   Optimum crew is 3-4 men, on short-term walk, in good weather it is possible to have six men.
   Fuel store (bowl of 70 litres), at capacity of the motor 60 h.p., seven hours or 350 kms, cruising speed 45 kms/hours. There is a backup bowl of 25 litres.
   The motorboat has the fourth category of floating, that allows him to float in an inshore waters at waves of height up to 0,6ь inclusively and wind strength 4 balls inclusively, with removal from shores up to 2 miles (4km). During operation of a boat as the tourist vessel, it is allowed to float at a wave height no more 0,4m., wind strength up to 4 balls, removal from shores no more than 1,6 miles (3km).
